Polywood® shutters are not only a fully recyclable shutter, but they also contain up to 20% recycled Polywood content. We’re the only shutter company in Salt Lake City or even the US that does that.
Sunburst supports green products, designs, and buildings. We aim for reusing materials whenever we can. We recycle water that cools down components as they’re finished in the ovens. We reuse packaging supplies. We reuse shutter scraps – or regrind them and turn them into new shutters. We recycle hundreds of tons of materials every year.
When we package our window treatments for transportation to your house for installation, we put reusable corner pieces on the sides of the louvers and use as little cardboard as possible to box up the shutters.
Our plantation shutters are coated with patented paints that are environmentally safe – and are even below the normal volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions allowed. In our manufacturing method, our paints don’t give off fumes. We mean it when we declare our paints aren’t toxic.
Polywood Shutters don’t give off harmful gasses – so you and your household can breathe easier and savor your window treatments.
